LIAF is proud to announce that we’ll be hosting a Q&A with Will Rose (the filmmaker who brought Eagle Blue to our most recent annual festival), this Saturday, 28th January at East Dulwich Picturehouse.
Eagle Blue won the Judges’ vote for one of our much-loved childrens’ screenings: ‘Amazing Animations’ (along with Ors Barczy’s Hey Deer) so we’re especially looking forward to hearing his ‘A’s’ to our ‘Q’s.
Will Rose is an Animator and Animation Director based in London, who describes himself as “Animator/ Filmmaker / Wildlife fan”
He’s been in the animation industry for over 15 years, working on three series of Peppa Pig, including co-writing the episode ‘Pedro is Late’. He’s also worked on Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom and Tiger Aspect’s Mr Bean. Currently Will is working as an animator at Studio AKA on both series one and two of Cbeebee’s Hey Duggee.
Will has also found international success with his independent animated short, The Goat Herder and his lots and lots and lots of goats, (also screened at LIAF) which he created, animated and directed.
This Q&A is part of our regular Kids’ Club screenings at Picturehouse cinemas throughout the UK – another spectacular selection of short animated films from around the world. You can find out more about the other films screening here. Children are encouraged to vote for their favourites (voting forms are supplied) at all of the programmes that we curate for Picturehouse Kids’ Club. It goes without saying we’re very much looking forward to hearing from our youngest audience – the next generation of animation fans.
Please check your local Picturehouse cinema for correct start times. Please note that the Q&A with Will Rose will only take place at East Dulwich Picturehouse.
Tickets will be available for purchase from your local Picturehouse
