LIAF 2020: Late Night Bizarre + Screen Talk ONLINE

October 25, 2020 by LIAF

It’s back. LIAF’s annual walk on the wild side featuring the most twisted films to emerge this year. We dug deep to find the best and this is what you find when you go down that far. This ever-popular Late Night Bizarre programme is a bunch of anti-classics guaranteed to be as far away from Disney as it’s possible to get. A dirty fistful of 13 of the weirdest, wildest, most demented films hand-picked from the 2,700 entered.

Animation is such an unbridled artform and it unleashes some of the most unleashable imaginations on the planet. The temptation to ‘go wide’ is played out time and time again by these animators as they bring to the screen barely imaginable scenarios, crazy battling juxtapositions and boil-your-eyes imagery.

Expect sex-mad fruit orgies, manic acid-fuelled dreams, perverse doggy shenanigans, deranged gluttony, gothic crows, weird group sex, chicken wrestlers, Japanese game-show hosts and a whole lot more.

You know what we mean and we know what you want.

A livestreamed Screen Talk will follow the screening with filmmakers: Julian Gallese, Peter Millard, Ivan Li & Bryan Lee.
